Non-Public Agency (NPA) Services

Dartmoor is approved by the Washington State Office of Public Instruction (OSPI) as a Non-Public Agency (NPA). As an NPA, Dartmoor partners with districts to provide individualized programs on their behalf. All Dartmoor courses are one-to-one, include specially designed instruction (SDI), and help students meet the goals identified in their IEPs.

Dartmoor provides:

  • One-to-one customized instruction specific to student needs in grades 1-12

  • Curriculum aligned with state and district standards and graduation requirements

  • Open enrollment throughout the year including Extended School Year (ESY)

  • Full-time and part-time placements

  • Active supervision by our Director of Special Education

  • Knowledgeable staff

  • Behavioral and social/emotional supports (including the option of Behavior Technicians)

  • Executive functioning support

  • Coordination of services with district and other agencies involved in the student’s education

  • Quarterly reports on progress toward IEP goals and graduation credits

  • Monthly attendance reports

  • Participation in IEP development

  • Administration of state standardized testing
